Hello, fellow student. Coming here means you are an incoming senior high school student who feel lost and doubtful on which track to take. Well, you are in the right place. Continue reading and it will make you feel beyond certain later on.

    

    Senior high school aims to equip students with knowledge and skills to prepare better for their chosen path. That is why there are four (4) different tracks of specialization namely; Academic, Technical-Vocational-Livelihood, Sports and Arts. Academic is for college preparation, Technical-Vocational-Livelihood develops your job-ready skills, Sports are more on physical education and recreation and lastly, Arts are for design, performative, and creative industry. 

    When you are planning to continue on college and get a bachelor degree, it is better to choose and take academic track. This track gives you possible set of courses for college. Academic track gives you an insight of college specialization of subjects you might be appointed with.   

    Moreover, academic track has four (4) strand you may enroll on. First is the Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics or STEM strand where students are inclined towards the four disciplines. This strand is more focused on advance concepts and topics, mathematics and science that will serve as a foundation of knowledge for college. Some of the possible work professions for STEM students are engineer, biologist, chemist, astrophysicist, nurse and doctor.  

    Next strand is Accountancy, Business and Management Strand or also known as ABM. This strand train students to think logically and scientifically. It serves as an introductory as for their contributions are future accountants, entrepreneur, bookkeeper, financial analyst, marketing director and many more.   

    There is also a strand for aspiring teachers, lawyers, judges, social workers and other professions that relates to humanitarianism and socialism. Humanities and Social Sciences or HUMSS for short, focuses on developing skills on how to understand an individual’s behavior and social groups. It needs an inquiry for using empirical, analytical and critical methods to study human behavior and social changes. The important thing is that it improves the student’s communication skills to be able to fulfill the duty of their profession. Priesthood is also part of this strand.   

    Last strand is the GAS or General Academic Strand. This strand is for students who are still undecided on which strand or vocation they will choose. If a student cannot decide yet, GAS strand is a best choice. A graduate of this strand may proceed to any college course.   

    You might be wondering on why those strands are mentioned when in fact you cannot pursue a track because of uncertainty. The reason is simply because those strands will help and guide you on your chosen profession after graduating. Enrolling in academic track is a better and safe path to take in amid those unsettled walking direction of track.   

    A student knows where and which they excel; business, science, engineering or whichever. A student just needs to figure out on which career they wanted to live in. After choosing academic track, enrolling to a strand would be an easy pie as each strand are design for specificalities to be guided and prepared in college.   

    Whichever profession a student wanted to be called, it is all in academic track build with different strand. Looking forward to college sounds a calling for academic track. Appoint safe, enroll fated. Academic track is the way out.
